August 14, 2017 by Marcia Mantell

Food for Thought from Marcia’s Retirement Kitchen I gave a presentation about getting ready to retire and how to create income throughout retirement. Afterwards, a gentleman raised his hand and asked an interesting question. “The market just hit an all-time high again today.  How much longer will the rise continue and when will the next recession hit?  When … [Read more...] about Risky Recipes: Trying to Time the Market

July 18, 2017 by Marcia Mantell

For many women, planning for the financial side of retirement falls to the very bottom of their priority list.  Not even ironing or cleaning up after a big Thanksgiving dinner is lower on the list.  But ignoring the realities of planning for retirement doesn’t make the problem go away, and can often make it so much worse. What’s Cookin’?

If your kitchen is anything like mine, it’s the place everyone gathers to talk about their day, share special moments, and ask important questions. And to see what’s cooking.

For me, there is a strong connection between preparing meals and planning retirement. Both need certain ingredients, recipes to follow, and getting the timing just right.

My motto to live by: If you can make a lasagna, you can create a plan for retirement.

Look for an invitation to join me at my kitchen table where retirement is always on the menu.

More coming soon…
